The Real Project is working to challenge misperceptions about FSU students by presenting you with facts. Tasty, hardboiled facts that completely do away with assumptions and guesswork to get down to the real deal and highlight what actual students are actually doing.
Who We Are
The Real Project is one of many of Florida State University’s Healthy Campus 2020 alcohol abuse prevention programs. FSU and its campus and community partners have developed a model of integrated strategies (individual, campus-based and community based) which are designed to create and support a low-risk environment…
What We Do
The Real Project is working to challenge misperceptions about FSU students by presenting you with facts. We’ve surveyed a sample of the FSU population and found that the majority of Florida State students opt for a healthy lifestyle and, when they choose to drink, are drinking responsibly. We have the numbers to prove it.
How We Do It
Each fall semester since 2002, the Center has developed and rolled out a new social norms marketing campaign using data from the previous spring’s NCHA I or II survey to correct student misperceptions of drinking norms on the FSU campus.
Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) Card
We created a card to help you estimate your BAC. These cards can help you monitor various factors that affect your BAC such as sex, weight and hours spent drinking. All drinks are not created equal, so use these cards to learn about drink equivalents, and remember to “keep it in the green!”
